I chose to send my Grandson to North Somercotes playgroup because I was really pleased with the very fast, friendly and welcoming response I had to my initial call about a place there. That level of enthusiasm is bound to have a positive effect on the children!

All the children seem so happy and content at playgroup. The staff are very friendly and caring and keep me up to date with my son’s progress. My son loves it so much he even wants to go at the weekend!

The children are very happy and enjoy the wide variety of activities and tasks they are involved with every day. They are allowed to use paints, glue and glitter to their hearts content without being told not to make a mess as they do at home.

The children are taught how to share and interact with other children in preparation for the next stage of their education.

The staff are all very friendly, helpful and approachable, both with the children and parents.

I am really happy with all the staff and input that has been given. My daughter is a very happy child when she has her playgroup sessions, and always comes home and tells me what activities she has done. Thank you all.

I am really pleased with the playgroup. My daughter had trouble settling at another group but absolutely loves it here. The staff are always happy and ready to help. The atmosphere is one of a very caring and loving environment. Most days my daughter doesn’t want to come home! I can’t fault it in anyway whatsoever.

Leaving your child in someone else’s care for the first time can be a very stressful and daunting process. I wanted my child’s needs to be met developmentally and socially in a safe place with people who would regard him as an individual, be warm, caring and sensitive. North Somercotes playgroup exceeds my expectations, providing a warm, safe, friendly and fun environment. Their emphasis on ‘learning through play’ supports my values and beliefs on how my child learns and develops intellectually and socially.

It is very evident that my son has formed strong healthy attachments with all the staff who are caring, warm, friendly, flexible, skilled, helpful and informative. They really care about the children and have great relationships with them.

My son has lots of fun there with clear established boundaries for behaviour and I feel sure that his experience there has contributed to the well balanced, friendly and happy little boy I have today.

I would have no hesitation in recommending the playgroup to anyone. The staff immediately made me feel at ease. I feel privileged to have access to such a provision.
